OUR MISSION

Rescue is essential. Prevention changes the future.

There are millions of stray cats and dogs across the Dominican Republic, and rescue organizations cannot solve the problem alone.

One of the most effective ways to reduce the number of animals being born onto the streets is large-scale spay and neuter programs. Rescate Con Amor is working to bring together rescuers, volunteer veterinarians, businesses, communities, media and other organizations to help make these campaigns possible.

Large-scale clinics can sterilize approximately 50–100 animals over a weekend — dramatically reducing the cost per animal and allowing every donation to make a measurable difference.

3,000,000 — drop a zero, illustrating the impact of spay and neuter programs

Every large-scale sterilization campaign helps drop a zero from the number of strays born onto the streets next year.
